Alvin Alcide Guillory (91), passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at his home in Port Arthur, Texas.

He was born September 25, 1928 in Iota, Louisiana to Alcide Guillory and Beatrice White.

He married the love of his life, Melina Johnson on February 5, 1948 in Crowley, LA who preceded him in death after 65 years of marriage in 2013.

From this union two children were born.

Mr. Guillory retired from the City of Port Arthur in 1991 as a Supervisor.

He was a long time member of Saint James Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Counsel #32 for over 50 years, where he served as Financial Secretary of the Board Center for a number of years.

Alvin leaves to mourn his passing two daughter, Katherine Pickney (Lester) of Port Arthur, TX and Gloria McCullough (Rahman Muhammad) of Oakland, CA; two granddaughters, Leslie Pickney and Courtney Pickney
of Port Arthur, TX; one grandson, Adrian McCullough; four great-grandchildren (Oakland, CA); one sister, Ernie Mae Aaron of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside service will be Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Live Oak Cemetery with entombment following.

A memorial service will be provided at a later date.
