NEDERLAND — A man wearing a cowboy hat with a bandana covering his face, jacket and shiny pants broke into Perry’s Music Company and made away with two electric guitars late Sunday night, authorities said.

Nederland Police Chief Gary Porter said the burglary happened at approximately 11 p.m. at the business, located at 1605 U.S. 69.

The burglar broke the front door, then went inside and stole a Yamaha APX600 Natural Acoustic/Electric guitar with serial number ZY92660 and another Yamaha APX600 Old Violin Sunburst Acoustic/Electric guitar with serial number ZY92690 then ran from the building, according to information on the business’ Facebook page.

Porter said police have checked pawnshops and the guitars haven’t turned up yet.
