D.E. Sosa, city manager for Groves, received a call from Dr. Cecil Walkes, Jefferson County Public Health Authority, advising him a person from Groves had tested positive.
Sosa said he asked a number of questions and learned the person is 39-years-old but does not know a gender or other information . He has made council members aware of the issue.
Sosa said the person’s address does not need to be made public, but first responders need to know should they get a call to that location so they can take appropriate precautions.
