The Sabine-Neches Chiefs’ Association, with the help of The Brickman Group, has reprogrammed the setinfo.org and turned it into a hub of information for Jefferson, Hardin and Orange Counties.
“Our vision is to serve Southeast Texas communities by providing a ‘one-stop shop’ with links that will enhance information delivery and improve quality of life,” the Association said. “Our mission is to work together to add information links that will help prevent confusion and misinformation with an ultimate goal to keep Southeast Texans prepared. This will afford citizens the opportunity to see what information is being disseminated, without having to search and try to choose which site is official. Citizens will be able to access Facebook posts without having to create a Facebook page.”
The Sabine-Neches Chiefs’ Association is comprised of various public and private entities that prepare for and provide direct assistance to natural, technological and terrorism based incidents for Jefferson, Hardin and Orange Counties, including mutual aid assistance to surrounding counties.
The membership consists of representatives from industry, fire departments, police departments, healthcare and other governmental and law enforcement agencies.
The Association said members are first responders and represent the first line of defense in the event of a threat from natural or man-made disasters or threats to the health, property or security of local communities.
