A community health clinic that can test patients for coronavirus is available in Jefferson County.

Legacy Community Health has created a satellite clinic at 450 N. 11th St. in Beaumont. Clients who will be tested only include those who are experiencing symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath or other respiratory conditions AND:

  • have either traveled domestically or internationally in recent days, OR:
  • had contact with anyone diagnosed or suspected of having COVID-19.

“We knew it was a matter of time before community spread affected our patient population, so we took the necessary steps to help address the needs of anyone who may need to be tested as well as educate the public through phone banks, social media videos and website,” Legacy Chief Medical Officer Vian Nguyen said in a release. “Our personnel is trained to handle this situation, and we aim to help as many people as we can.”
