Grant Rayfield Allison was born in Port Arthur, Texas on May 5, 1948, to Leon Allison, Sr. and Alberta Wilma Allison.

He was one of eight children.

Grant attended elementary school in Sabine Pass; Junior High and High School in Port Arthur, Texas.

Grant was a proud graduate of the 1966 Class of Abraham Lincoln High School!

He loved his classmates!

Grant was a lifelong resident of Sabine Pass, Texas.

Grant married Constance (Connie) Annette Phillips on December 13, 1975; and, to this beautiful union were born two sons, Gavin Ray and Ian Jarrod.

Grant worked at and was a partner of Sabine Offshore Services in Sabine Pass, from which he retired in 2002 after 32 years of service.

Grant served the Lord as a member of First Baptist Church in Sabine Pass The wonderful memories and good times will be forever sketched in the hearts and minds of his wife, Connie P. Allison (Sabine Pass, Texas); two sons, Gavin Ray Allison (Houston, Texas) and Ian Jarrod Allison (Sabine Pass, Texas); one sister, Jessie Lewis of Port Arthur, Texas; four brothers: Leon Allison, Jr. (Charlotte) of Sabine Pass, Texas; Kermit Allison (Marvel); Lee Allison (Doris) of Port Arthur, Texas; and Earl Allison (Candace) of Baytown, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church, 549 W. Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur, Texas with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
