Bro. Charlie Robinson Jr., 95, of Port Arthur, TX passed away February 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

A native of Garland City, Arkansas, he was a resident of Port Arthur, TX for over 60 years.

He was a United States Army veteran and retired from Jefferson County Drainage District 7.

Bro. Robinson was a devoted member of New Light Baptist Church, where he was the oldest deacon and member of the mission department and male chorus.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Robinson and Sam Edna Smith Robinson; his wife, Victoria Simpson Robinson; two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by Joycie Simpson-Williams (daughter); Connie Overshown (cousin); Rosa Williams (sister); Rufus Latulas (nephew); Ethel Latulas (niece); and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at New Light Baptist Church with visitation from 12 noon until service time.

Pastor Louis Hatch, III will officiate. Entombment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
