Families visited in full “force” this weekend as the Museum of the Gulf Coast hosted an out-of-this-world free family fun day in Port Arthur.
The theme was “Science and Technology of the Future” and included appearances by numerous characters from the Star Wars universe.
Brittany Delagarza, museum education coordinator, said the event was designed inspire future engineers, scientists and STEM students to reach above and beyond.
“The museum wants to share the information with our members, and getting them involved in this in family fun day is fun and educational at the same time,” she said.

Kevin Williams, at home with a snake on his head, introduced children and adults to the world of snakes.
