An overnight drive-by shooting left a man wounded Sunday morning, authorities said.
Port Arthur Police said the gunfire erupted at approximately 3 a.m., when the victim said he was sitting in his vehicle when another vehicle drove towards him and “a subject began shooting in his direction.”
Sgt. Timothy Dinger said one of the bullets stuck the victim in the foot, adding the shooter’s vehicle fled the scene.
Police officers responded to the area under Taylor’s Bayou Bridge (3300 West Highway 73).
“The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for his non-life threatening injuries,” Dinger said.
Additional details were not immediately released.
