Port Arthur native and author Damon West will speak, among other special guests, at the Texas Coaches Leadership Summit Feb. 24 at Esports Stadium in Arlington.
The summit, a ticketed event that will run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., will include West’s co-author of The Change Agent, Jon Gordon; Pro Football Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks; WNBA executive Karen Bryant; and selected high school coaches.
“Leadership is critical to the vitality of our profession and the leadership of our coaches has never been more important,” a news release announcing the summit reads.
“Through our Texas Coaches Leadership Summit we believe that we will be able to generate a movement of leaders who will have a positive impact on our society. We want to help coaches understand the influential power they have as a coach and that they are in a position to directly impact the attitudes of their athletes in a positive way.”
