Farnzo Martin Jr., 90, was born on March 3, 1929 to Farnzo and Wealthy Martin in Mooringsport, LA.

Farnzo loved the Lord and loved serving in the church.

He was a member of New Light Baptist Church for many years.

Farnzo entered into rest peacefully on January 17, 2020 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife June Martin; one son Calvin Martin; his sisters, Charlene Marshall, Lottie Mae Green, Lucy Sharffet and brother, Phillip Martin.

Precious memories will be cherished by his children: Roland Guidry (Jerri) of Port Arthur TX, Marilyn Marcel (Marcus) of Port Arthur, TX, Farnzo Martin III of Port Arthur, TX, Troy Diggles of Port Arthur, TX, and Vermond Martin of San Bernadino, CA, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Wealthy DeJohn, his niece, would like to acknowledge: A very special niece, Tammy Thomas-Pickney; friends, Raymond McClain, Willie Jacquet, Barbara Hannah Keys, Willie “Bae” Lewis, James Miller (Mae), Charles S. Nacol and son, Irene Gardner, Jack Brooks, Jimmy Newsome, Darwin Moore, Sylvester Simon, Sebastian Martin, Eddie Collins, Ricky Antoine, Ruben Moore (Joanne), Edward Moore (Glenda), Leo Moore, Clyde Martin (Sheila), and Irene Evans.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at New Light Baptist Church, 948 5th Street, Port Arthur, TX.

The Celebration of Life will follow beginning at 11 a.m.

Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
