Nettie Theresa Brown Livings

Nettie Theresa Brown Livings, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Monday, January 13, 2020 at Gulf Health Care.
A native of New Iberia, Louisiana, she resided in Port Arthur, Texas for 44 years and was a nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in the Nephrology Unit and at Southeast Texas Nephrology Associates.
She was a parishioner at St. James Catholic Church and a member of the Legion of Mary affiliated with St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A visitation is scheduled Friday, January 17, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m.
Funeral service is scheduled immediately following with Father David Edwards officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
Survivors include one daughter Melanie Livings Manuel; two granddaughters Ashanta Nellar (Houston, Texas), Auzree Nellar (Port Arthur, Texas); three great-grandchildren, Cameron Dorsey (Houston, Texas), Christopher Martin (Port Arthur, Texas) and Christina Joseph (Orange, Texas); one brother, Edward Brown, Sr. (New Iberia, Louisiana); four sisters, Mary Linden (Fort Worth, Texas), Martha Fontenette, Eva Lewis (Joseph), and Catherine Johnson all of New Iberia, Louisiana; two aunts, Lorenza Fontenot (Texas City, Texas) and Geraldine Pushia (LaMarque, Texas); six godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
