This week’s Jefferson County indictments

A Jefferson County grand jury indicted the following individuals earlier this week:

  • Anthony Owens, also known as Anthony Shane Owens, 22, of Beaumont was indicted for evading arrest/detention use of a vehicle for an incident that occurred July 3.
  • Kyle Anthony Welch, 20, of League City, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, tetrahydrocannabinol, for an incident that occurred Jan. 24, 2019.
  • Walter F. Edwards Jr., also known as Walter Frank Edwards and Walter Frank Edwards Jr., 53, of Beaumont was indicted for burglary of a building for an incident that occurred Nov. 8.
  • Joseph Cropper, also known as Joseph Cropper III, Joe Cropper, and Joseph Wilford Cropper III, 40, of Beaumont was indicted for evading arrest/detention use of a vehicle for an incident that occurred Nov. 9.
  • Joseph Cropper, also known as Joseph Cropper III, Joe Cropper, and Joseph Wilford Cropper III, 40, of Beaumont was indicted for felony escape for a incident that occurred Nov. 9.
  • Johnnita Roschell Gage, 41, of Port Arthur was indicted for felony theft with prior theft convictions for an incident that occurred Nov. 30.
  • Maniel H. Ordaz, 33, of Beaumont was indicted for evading arrest/detention use of a vehicle for an incident that occurred Sept. 8.
  • Jessica Bushnell, 33, of Beaumont was indicted for felony theft with prior theft convictions for an incident that occurred Sept. 24.
  • Larry Darnell Johnson, 59, of Port Arthur was indicted for felony theft with prior theft convictions for an incident that occurred Oct. 20.
  • Jacoby Joseph Mercier, 18, of Beaumont was indicted for unauthorized use of a vehicle for an incident that occurred March 16.
  • Terence Zachary Killingsworth, 31, of Port Arthur was indicted for unauthorized use of a vehicle for an incident that occurred Nov. 16.
  • Richard Mayfield Jr., 39, of Beaumont was indicted for felony theft, aggregation amounts, for incidents occurring March 3, 2018 to May 2, 2019.
  • Joshua Joseph Nini, 38, of Nederland was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, amphetamine, for an incident that occurred Jan. 20, 2019.
  • Regina R. Garcia, 34, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for an incident that occurred July 13.
  • Regina R. Garcia, 34, of Beaumont was indicted for prohibited substances in correctional facility for an incident that occurred July 13.
  • Myra Sue Eason, 56, of Silsbee was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, oxycodone, for an incident that occurred July 12.
  • Kayla C. Binning, also known as Kayla Chantalle Casey, 36, of Vidor was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred July 6.
  • Jamaal Jermanie Deal, 21, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred Aug. 3.
  • Ernest Garcia, also known as Jesse Garza, Juan Garcia and Ernest Juan Garcia IV, 43, of Port Arthur was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for an incident that occurred March 1.
  • Ronald Wayne Harmon, 52, of Vidor was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred July 31.
  • Earl James Haymond, 57, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for an incident that occurred July 26.
  • Robert Manning, also known as Robert Joseph Manning, 39, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, tetrahydrocannabinol, THC, for an incident that occurred March 27.
  • Michael Martin, 37, of Beaumont indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred Aug. 11.
  • Erick Rodriguez Mata, 22, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred July 7.
  • Angela Lee Smalley, 33, transient, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred July 31.
  • Shana Wanca, also known as Shana Marie Bloyd, 46, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for an incident that occurred July 11.
  • Armando Rangel, 21, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for an incident that occurred July 12.

— An indictment is not a final conviction of guilt; it is only a ruling by the grand jury that allows the district attorney’s office to proceed with a criminal case.
