Shell station robbery suspect is still at large; police continuing to investigate

Police in Port Arthur continue to investigate Monday morning’s armed robbery of a Shell gas station in the city.

The robbery happened at approximately 5:03 a.m. — two hours before sunrise, at the station located at 2549 Memorial Blvd.

The suspect was wearing all black including a long sleeved shirt and a mask when he entered the business and threatened the clerk who believed he had a weapon.

He left on foot with an undetermined amount of money, Port Arthur Police Det. Sadie Guedry said.

Police did not give any specifics on the suspect description other than to say he was a man of unknown race.
