PA woman, Sour Lake man killed in Hardin County crash

One of the two people killed in a three-vehicle crash on Texas Highway 105 in Hardin County was a Port Arthur woman, authorities said.

The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the deceased as Destiny Sells, 20, of Port Arthur and Shane Hardy, 20, of Sour Lake. Both were occupants in a white Chevrolet passenger vehicle that was involved in a crash on Texas 105.

Hardy was identified as the driver.

At approximately 7:15 p.m. Friday, Texas DPS troopers responded to the crash on the Hardin-Jefferson County line.

The Chevrolet was engulfed in flames, police said, adding the Chevrolet had been traveling westbound on Texas 105, crossed into the eastbound traffic lane and struck a black SUV and red SUV.

Justice of the Peace Mark Ames pronounced Sells and Hardy deceased.

The driver of the black 2005 Mercury SUV, Shadron Priddy, 52, of Sour Lake was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the red 2017 Kia SUV, Kathryn Allen, 61, of Shepherd, was not injured.

The crash investigation is ongoing.
