Charles Tolley, 90, of Nederland, Texas passed away November 30, 2019.

He was born in Sylva, North Carolina on January 17, 1929 to the late Randolph Tolley and Margaret Long Tolley.

Charles served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy and was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church in Nederland.

He was athletic and fit and he loved to exercise. He especially liked to run.

Charles loved motorcycles especially his Harley Davidson which he took for a ride often.

He was an avid bowler and went to the YMCA.

Those left to cherish Charles’s memory are his wife of 65 years, Cleo Wanita Stricklane Tolley of Nederland; granddaughter, Andrea; his great-grandchildren, Averi, Lily, and Hailey; his brother-in-law, Bud Stricklane and his wife Francis; and also survival nieces, nephews, and close friends.

He will be dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Brian Charles Tolley; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
