KATHIE’S KORNER — No ‘delicate touch’ compares to God’s

I think many definitions would come to pass from, different individuals regarding, a “delicate touch!”

We always think of machines, cell phones, and other in-animate objects, but I prefer and will address the human factor!

I know when you text or scroll on your phones or I pads that you’ve developed your own “touch,” some slower than others, some faster. Also, typing on your computers, making sure you don’t hit the wrong key and programming your microwave for the exact time and temperature, otherwise ending up with a hard piece to try to eat instead of the perfect, end, chunk of food!

My husband, Mike Deasy, is a creative, musical genius as he composes and plays his music on the guitar and piano with a soulful, thoughtful, spiritual gift that he’s been masterfully working on and recording for years with a “delicate touch” on the strings.

So, timing is critical with most things we put our hand to. I think people who love and appreciate animals and children have a “special, delicate touch.”

I watch rescue people as they carry, and care for damaged or abandoned animals and they have a gift that usually affects their relationships and communication with everyone in their world, desiring to help and nurture, like foster parents and those who adopt lonely, frightened, children to help them grow with love!

My natural father always had a delicate touch with me as we talked, laughed and even danced at a Father-Daughter Banquet as a teenager. He was very generous and sometimes over protective of me as I grew, supporting my public singing and leader-ship gifts in the various clubs and organizations I belonged to. He was shy, not interested in any platform or podium, but he was always there, in the back of a room, watching and supporting me. I believe he was proud of me.

My Heavenly Father, always there, after a dramatic salvation experience with a Bible filled with promises from Him to always love and protect me from the time I was 7 years old to a miraculous, awesome, journey to this time in my life with so many times a “delicate touch” from Him. I laughingly ask Him in prayer if He sends extra angels to watch over me, daily?

Thank you, God for Your “delicate touch!”
