Harvey victims hit by Imelda may apply for assistance
Even if you registered for federal assistance because you suffered damage from Hurricane Harvey, you can register for assistance if affected by Tropical Storm Imelda. Survivors that applied for aid after Hurricane Harvey and that sustained damage from Tropical Storm Imelda must reapply for aid – their application and aid from Harvey does not cover them for damages incurred from Tropical Storm Imelda.
Homeowners may apply for uninsured and underinsured damage and losses incurred from Sept. 17 – 23. The deadline to apply for assistance is Dec. 3.
To register, go online to DisasterAssistance.gov or call the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362.
