GROVES — The city of Groves is getting ready to kick off the holiday season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at Celebration Park, located at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Coolidge Boulevard.
Groves Beautification Committee sponsors the event, which will feature Groves Elementary School’s fifth grade choir and a ladies duet.
There will be plenty of photo opportunities with lighted displays and Santa will be there as well.
The tree that will be lit is a 20-foot balsam fir from Wisconsin that is purchased from the Orangefield FFA program.
