Representatives of the Epsilon Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. presented the Port Arthur Lions Club with a donation Friday of 327 pairs of eyeglasses as part of the Sorority’s Target 5: Global Impact initiative.

Chapters across the world are participating in an eyeglass initiative designed to prevent blindness, help restore eyesight, and improve eye health and eye care for millions by donating new and used eyeglasses.

Lions Club leaders said they were grateful to the Global Impact Committee and Committee Chairperson Gloria DeBlanc for their hard work and continued dedication to the community.
