Sabine Pass found a different opponent to close out the season, and the result wasn’t good for the Sharks.

Kelly Catholic left Sabine Pass with a 42-15 win Friday to end the Sharks’ independent schedule at 1-6. The late change was due to Galveston O’Connell canceling its season early, the same fate the Sharks met last season after two games.

No statistics were available. Kelly, a TAPPS Division V team, improved to 7-2 on the season.
