Police find “man down” in Port Arthur roadway following Tuesday shooting

Port Arthur Police are investigating an aggravated assault that led to a man down in a roadway in the area of 8th Street and Stillwell Boulevard at approximately 10:06 p.m. Tuesday.

Police were called to 1400 8th St., where a black male sustained a gunshot wound to the torso, according to Port Arthur Police Sgt. Timothy Dinger.

The victim was taken to a local hospital by EMS for treatment of his injuries, but his condition was not immediately known.
