PNG made its first trip to the playoffs in school history last year, which ended after a 60-44 loss to Galveston Ball.

All thoughts this year are on making a return trip.

“I anticipate that our kids will be hungry for another successful season,” head coach Kara Skinner said. “I anticipate picking up where we left off last season and making another run for a playoff spot.”

Skinner wants to see leadership from his seniors, which include point guard Maylin Stampley (5’3), guard Mollee Priddy (5’7) and Britney Brevell (5’5). She also wants to see more aggressive team defense and a finding ways to score.

“We will have to work hard on the defensive side to create scoring opportunities for ourselves,” Skinner said.

Fortunately, Skinner believes her team is very coachable, with a strong work ethic and a desire to improve.
