Ernest Henton Jr. was born on September 22, 1952 in Port Arthur, TX to Ernest Henton Sr. and Melba Henton.

He was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, TX and a 1971 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School.

Ernest passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Memorial Herman Memorial City Hospital in Houston, TX.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Deborah Henton; daughter Iesha Henton and son Lamont Johnson; his siblings, Patricia Henton, Terrie Henton Williams (Tommy) of Aiken, SC, Cheryl Henton Wilson, Christopher “Bro” Henton (Deborah), Graylon Troy Henton (Deborah) of Port Arthur, TX and Leslie Henton Doss (Byron) of Greenville, SC; and a host of aunts, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
