Verna Gail Bertrand, 72, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born October 7, 1947 in Abbeville, Louisiana to Clarence Bertrand and Agnes Picard Bertrand.

Verna was a lifelong area resident and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

A visitation for family and friends will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with a rosary service to begin at 1:30 p.m.

Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Willie Posey officiating.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Judy Cappen and brother, Clarence “J.R.” Bertrand, Jr.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Burnham and fiance’ Kirk Veillon of Nederland and Amy Page of Port Arthur, brother, Harold Bertrand of New Iberia, LA and three grandchildren, Corbin Stepan, Casen Burnham, and Carter Page.
