Gloria Mae “Honey” Jacob Roy, 94, was born on June 18, 1925 to her late parents Agnes Cormier Jacob and Abel Jacob, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas.

Honey has been a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church all of her life.

She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School.

Honey lived a long and fruitful life and was loved by many until God called her home Saturday, October 5, 2019.

She was an excellent cook and baker.

Honey is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 62 years, Gussie Roy.

She leaves to cherish her memories two children, daughter, Berlinda Roy Mouton (Bernard) and son, Gus Garfield Roy; seven grandchildren Sophia, Clifton (Lakesha), Eddie (Chaknequa), Joey (Tracie), Joshua (Heidi), Luke and Jacob (Naoki); twenty-five great grandchildren; siblings, Doris, Lillie, James, Abel (Yvonne) and Joseph; three sisters-in-law, Annabelle, Arlene and Johnetta; two godsons Aaron Chretien and Robert Chretien; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 920 Washington Avenue, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
