PORT NECHES — Pipeline company TC Energy is set to give information about the proposed Beaumont Interconnect pipeline project to the Motiva Terminal on Spur 136 at a special meeting set for 5 p.m. Monday at Port Neches City Hall, 1005 Merriman St.

Port Neches City Manager Andre Wimer said TC Energy is looking to use an already existing pipeline corridor within an old railroad right-of-way and go though town to Port Neches Avenue.

Since the proposed line is near Port Neches-Groves High School, trustees with the school board are also expected to be at the meeting, according to a meeting notice from the school board.

TC Energy, in January, entered into an agreement with Motiva Enterprises LLC to construct a pipeline connection between the Keystone Pipeline system and Motiva’s 630,000 refinery in Port Arthur.

The connection is targeted to be operational in the second quarter 2020, according to their website.
