Andrew Landry will be trying to rebound from a missed cut last week as the tour moves to the above-mentioned Sanderson Farms Open. Landry shot rounds of 73-68 in the 2019-20 season opening Military Tribute at the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. …

Entries are still being taken for Saturday’s 24th annual Joe Williamson Memorial Scramble at Zaharias. Entry fee is $50 per player for two-man teams, with flights being determined by the low handicap on each team.

Entry forms are available at the Zaharias pro shop. Anyone with questions should contact the pro shop at 722-8286 or Wendell Meaux at 790-8873. All proceeds go toward scholarships at Nederland and Port Neches-Groves. …

In the Monday Senior 50 Plus 2-ball at Babe Zaharias, the team of Kenny Robbins, Dwayne Morvant, Larry Johnson and Larry Foster won the front with minus-5. On the back, there was a five-way tie for first at minus-1 between teams captained by Earl Richard, Jeff Lane, Ted Freeman, Bob West and Robbins. …

The Saturday Super Senior 2 ball at Zaharias saw the team of James Shipley, Cap Hollier, Thad Borne, Ron Hicks and Buddy Hicks tie both the front and the back nine at 2 under with the team of West, Rick Pritchett, John Jessen and Harrell Guidry. …

In the Friday the 13th 2 ball at Zaharias, the team of Gene Jones, Bob Byerly, Paul Flores and Foster won the front at minus 3. There was a three-way tie on the back at minus 2 among teams captained by Rusty Hicks, Robbins and Lane. …

The Wednesday Zaharias DogFight was played in a format of two-man best ball on the front and two-man scramble on the back. In Championship Flight the team
of Rusty Hicks and Joe Gongora won with a 67.

First Flight, aka the Arnold Palmer Flight, went to Raymond Darbonne-Don MacNeil at 67. The Jack Nicklaus flight was won with a 71 by the duo of Ron Mistrot-Dan Flood. In the Bobby Jones Flight, it was the team of Robert Lynch-Tommy Duhon placing first with a 67.

Closest to the pin winners were Ron LaSalle (No. 2, No. 7), Mistrot (No. 12) and Calvin Landry No. 15.
