Mary Coritha Paillet, 91, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019.

A native of Opelousas, LA she moved to Port Arthur at the age of 17.

Coritha worked as a certified nurse aide for 35 years, retiring at Oak Grove Nursing Home.

She is preceded in death by her parents Nathan and Ophelia Anderson; siblings, Wilbert Anderson, Russel Duval Dalfred Anderson, Midas Anderson, Genevieve Pickney, Willie Mae Fruge, Velma Washington, Evanola Forbes, Fester Thibodeaux, Priscilla Evans, Thelma Kelly and Audrey Mae Lazard; a daughter Yolanda Anderson and granddaughter Gabrielle D. Zenon.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Ann Paillet – Abraham (Terry); and grandson, James Everitte Adryan Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at New St. John Baptist Church, 1048 W. Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
