Authorities classified the case as an “ongoing investigation,” adding no additional details are available as of this morning.

Police previously said Troopers responded to the single vehicle crash in the 100 block of FM 366 in Nederland at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday.

The preliminary investigation indicated a 2004 Ford pickup was traveling eastbound on FM 366 when, “for an unknown reason, the driver veered to the left striking an unoccupied construction vehicle.”

Authorities said the victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
