Augusta “Gussie” Fallin

Augusta “Gussie” Fallin, 100, of Austin, Texas passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at The Heritage at Hunter’s Chase.

She was born February 15, 1919 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Sevella Daniels Jackson.

When she was young they moved to Port Arthur where she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. In 1945 she married Marl Holmes Fallin.

Gussie was very involved in her daughter’s activities as Bluebird Leader and PTA, serving as President.

She was a member of the United Methodist Temple and the Cullen Hamilton Sunday School Class.

Gussie retired from Sears Department Store and then spent many years as a devoted volunteer at The Methodist Temple, Museum of the Gulf Coast and The United Board of Missions.

She was beloved by all of her family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2019 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Phil Chamberlin of the United Methodist Temple officiating. Burial will follow in
Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Gussie was preceded in death by her husband, Marl Holmes Fallin, brother, R.C. Jackson and sister, Eva Fallin.

She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Santos and husband Ken of Austin, TX; two grandchildren, Ian Rick and wife Amanda, and Sarah Rick, great granddaughter, Autumn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
