A city of Port Arthur reconstruction project continues at the intersection of Nashville Avenue and Seventh Street this week. The project will include replacing drainage and underground work as well as building a new surface street from Seventh Street to Procter Street downtown. This is the second major reconstruction project taken on by the city this year; it was started about a month ago and the contract calls for completion within 290 days, city officials say. Norman Highway Constructors is the contractor.
