Lloyd J. Patin Jr., 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Park Place Manor in Belton, Texas.

Lloyd is formerly of Port Arthur, Texas, where he resided until 2009.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Dossman Funeral Home, 2525 North Main Street, Belton, Texas.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.

Lloyd served in the Army and the Air National Guard, and retired as a Designer from Dupont Sabine River Works in Orange, Texas.

Lloyd served as an Elder and Deacon at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Port Arthur.

He enjoyed singing in the church choir for many years.

Lloyd also was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belton.

He served with the College Lunch for UMHB students and sang in the choir there as well.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lottie Patin of Port Arthur, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carolyn Vickers Patin.

Lloyd is also survived by his son, David Patin and his wife Jessica of Kingwood, Texas; his son, Kenneth Patin and his wife Jennifer of Temple, Texas; three granddaughters: Leslie
Goldberg of Jarrell, Texas, Allison Patin, of Houston, Texas, and Addison Patin of Kingwood, Texas. Leslie and Travis Goldberg have Lloyd’s first great- grandchild, Aria, who already loved her Papa dearly.

Lloyd was also a wonderful brother and uncle to his sister, Jean Taylor of Jasper, Texas, and his brother, Larry Patin of Mobile, Alabama, and their children and grandchildren.

Special gratitude is extended to the staff of Park Place Manor in Belton, Kindred Hospice, Rev. Jeff Miller and the congregation of First United Methodist Church – Belton, and his wonderful neighbors and friends, Weldon and Nina Aycock.

In lieu of flowers, Lloyd wished for memorials to be given to the College Lunch or Choir Fund of First Methodist Church in Belton.
