Gilbert A. Diaz was born on November 2, 1958 and died on July 13 in Houston, Texas.

Gilbert was the son of Gilbert and Isabel (Sandoval) Diaz of Port Arthur, Texas and one of eight brothers and sisters.

Gilbert graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Lamar University before making a long career with United Airlines.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Ernest, Robert John and George and his sisters Dolores Trahan and Theresa Grant.

He will be remembered by his spouse Baltazar Tena, his sisters Rosalinda Cardenas and Yolanda Schrader as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many other friends and co-workers.

La Paz Memorial Funeral Home, 7902 Nordling Road, Houston, Texas 77037 is handling the arrangements for a Memorial Celebration gathering of relatives and friends on July 20 from 3-5 p.m.
