The Celebration of Life for Mr. James Rufus “Bo Peep” Burton, 78, of Beaumont, TX will be Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 2 pm at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Beaumont.

Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Park under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 12 until 1 pm at the church.

He passed away July 9 in Las Vegas, NV.

A longtime Port Arthur resident, he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959 and retired from Unocal 76 Oil after 28 years.

He was a member of Port Arthur’s Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church before moving to Beaumont and joining Antioch.
