Bond was set at $100,000 for a 17-year-old charged with robbing a woman at gunpoint outside H.E.B. Pantry on Gulfway Drive on Monday.
Port Arthur Police Det. Mike Hebert said the suspect was identified as Christopher Anderson of Port Arthur.
Police got the call just after 6 p.m., indicating an assailant approached a woman and brandished a handgun. The gunmen then reportedly fled after the robbery.
Hebert said patrol officers were in the area within minutes and located Anderson, who was quickly apprehended. He was reportedly still in possession of the handgun used in the crime.
The Criminal Investigation Division of the PAPD is handling the case.
