A 17-year-old male was arrested for the armed robbery of a woman at H.E.B. Pantry on Gulfway Drive on Monday.

Police got the call just after 6 p.m. where the suspect had approached the woman and brandished a handgun, according to a news release from Port Arthur Police Department. The suspect took the woman’s personal belongings after brandishing the weapon and fled the scene.

He was apprehended and brought to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.

The Criminal Investigation Division of the PAPD is handling the case.

The name of the suspect had not been released as of Tuesday night.
