It was black Friday for PN-G exes Andrew Landry and Chris Stroud during the second round of the PGA Tour 3M Classic at TPC Twin Cities.

Both Southeast Texans missed the 36-hole cut, with Landry doing it in most disappointing fashion by taking bogeys on his final two holes. That forced him to settle for a one-over 72 and a 140 total that missed by two strokes. He’d opened with a 68 on Thursday.

Stroud also had some heartbreak. Needing a 66 to play on the weekend, he seemed headed that way until a bad bounce on his ninth hole of the day. Playing the back nine first, he was two under when he came to the par 5, 18th, a hole he nearly eagled on Thursday.

Stroud’s second shot into the 18th carried the water fronting the green, then bounced back into the hazard. He wound up making a double bogey seven that pretty well drowned his hopes for ending a string of nine consecutive tournaments in which he’s failed to make it to the weekend. He wound up signing off on a second consecutive 72.

Bryson DeChambeau didn’t find any hazards or problems of any sort in zooming to the top of the leaderboard. DeChambeau carved out a sizzling 10-under-par 62 to take a two-shot lead at 128.

As for Landry, he looked in great shape to make the cut after back-to-back birdies on his 14th and 15th holes of the day. But he missed a par putt from 5 feet on his 17th hole, the par-3 eighth, then drove into trouble in the ninth.

Lamar ex Shawn Stefani added a 66 to his opening 69 and is tied 23rd at 135.
