Sis. Donnie Mae Williams

Sis. Donnie Mae Williams was born July 5, 1948.  She went on from labor to glory June 30, 2019.  A native of Port Arthur for 70 years, Donnie was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church of Port Arthur.  She was a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1966.  Donnie was also a graduate of Lamar Institute of Technology with a degree in Data Processing.  She was a Paraprofessional Teacher for Port Arthur ISD for 29 years.

At Solid Rock Church, Donnie was active in the Usher Board Ministry, the Women Missionary Union and a member of the Culinary Committee.  She was also a member of the small group Bible Study of Antioch Baptist Church.

Donnie is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Williams Jr. and Ruby Rose Williams; her two brothers, Michael Lynn Williams and Richard Charles Williams.  She leaves to cherish her memory her two sisters (her twin) Connie Marie Bonton and Jessie Lee Preston (Emanuel); sister-in-law, Carolyn Stewart; two special nephews, Emanuel Sebastian Preston III, and Richard Charles Williams, Jr.; a special niece, Corrine Williams (Steven); nephew, Shawn Dell Jones (Christina); along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Solid Rock Baptist Church with visitation from 12 noon until service time.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
