Police: Armed gunmen rob Port Arthur convenience store, assault clerk

Port Arthur police said they responded to a late-night robbery call at Fuel Depot, 7621 Twin City Highway.

In an issued statement, police said they were dispatched at 11:23 p.m. Thursday.

Officers said two suspects described only as black males armed with handguns entered the store, assaulted the clerk, stole merchandise and left.

Officers searched the area but were unable to find the suspects.
