A Jefferson County grand jury indicted a substitute teacher after he was accused of online solicitation of a minor, a 13-year-old student, and of improper relationship between an educator and student.

Accusations included that Brandon Lewis Chillow, 35, sent a photo of his penis to a 13-year-old child, a student at Vincent Middle School inBeaumont.

The child’s parents found on their daughter’s phone a photo of the face of a man whom they suspected sent the graphic image, and sent it to an administrative aide at the school, who identified the man as her brother in law.

In a second complaint, Chillow was accused of going to the home of a 15-year-old student, ID’ing himself as a parent of the child’s friend, and left with the child with the understanding she was spending the night with his daughter. Instead, police said, Chillow took the child to a Beaumont hotel for sex.

Chillow remained at the Jefferson County jail Wednesday night with bond set at $100,000 for the improper relationship charge.
