PGA TOUR: Landry takes final-round tumble

Published 11:56 pm Sunday, June 23, 2019

Following a round of 65 that got him in the top 10, Andrew Landry took a big tumble down the leaderboard to finish the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut.

Landry turned in a 74 and ended up tied for 43rd with seven others, finishing 3-over 277 for the tournament. The Groves native, who now lives in Austin, bogeyed five times and made just one birdie for the final round.

Lamar graduate Shawn Stefani did not make the final round after shooting even par through the first three.

The final round wasn’t kind to Chez Reavie, either, but the fellow American’s 69 got him 17-under for the tournament, winning by four shots over Zack Sucher and Keegan Bradley.
