Conner Kemp announced on Twitter Friday his intent to sign with McNeese State for baseball.

The left-hander went 8-5 on the season with one save and had a 1.64 ERA through the first three playoff rounds. He was the Bulldogs’ ace, often used for Game 1 of each playoff series.

Kemp finished a season in which he helped Nederland to its furthest playoff run since 2009. The Bulldogs, who finished second in District 21-5A, made it to the semifinal round of the 5A Region III playoffs against Magnolia West in May.
