Texas gas prices plummet in past week

Texas gas prices have fallen 4.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.49 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 13,114 stations. Gas prices in Texas are 10.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago, yet stand 25.6 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Texas is priced at $2.06 today while the most expensive is $3.29 per gallon. The lowest price in the state today is $2.06 per gallon. The cheapest price in the entire country today stands at $1.89 per gallong while the most expensive is $5.86 per gallon, a difference of $3.97/g.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 1.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.81 today. The national average is down 8.9 cents per gallon from a month ago, yet stands 13.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
