Victim stabbed, treated, released

Port Arthur police responded to a late-night Friday incident in which a man was stabbed several times.

Police said in an issued statement that they were called to a residence in the 3900 block of Seventh Street. There, a victim, 46, had numerous stab wounds from an altercation with a family member.

The incident happened at around 9:50 p.m. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth hospital where he was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was located and arrested for aggravated assault.
