Tyler joins LU to lead athletic development

Lamar has named DeAna Tyler director of athletic development and major gifts.

Tyler spent the past three seasons at Duke, where she served as an athletics assistant and was promoted to assistant director for the Iron Dukes Annual Fund.

At Duke, Tyler aided the Blue Devils Annual Fund and Major Gifts and helped the department witness a 15% growth in the Young and Junior Iron Dukes participation. Fundraising for Duke’s baseball and cheer squads saw respective increases of 15% and 18%.

Over the course of two seasons, Duke baseball and band saw increases of 291% and 89% in fundraising.

Tyler has also worked with IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions and the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream.
