From the Texas Department of Public Safety:

At approximately 4:30 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety received a report of a multiple vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Orange County.  The crash occurred near mile marker 858 and involves a commercial motor vehicle.

Initial reports indicate that a commercial motor vehicle was traveling westbound on Interstate 10 when it collided with another vehicle.  The impact caused a vehicle fire which has blocked the westbound traffic lanes of Interstate 10.

At this time, there are no reports of injuries.

The westbound traffic lanes of Interstate 10, near Rose City, are closed.  There is no time estimation as to when the roadway will reopen to traffic.  Motorists are urged to find an alternate travel route and expect delays.
