Bridge City was one run away from run-ruling Silsbee on the baseball diamond Tuesday.

Six runs in the sixth inning all but put the game away for the Cardinals in a 12-2 road win Tuesday. They got it done behind Sam Carpenter’s four RBI and Logan Hamm’s three as well as Peyton Havard’s eight strikeouts thrown through five innings.

Carpenter launched a home run and batted 2 for 5 on the night with a run scored. Hamm hit 3 for 4 and scored three runs.
