BOYS BASKETBALL: Bridge City’s Weeks makes All 22-4A second team

Kolten Weeks of Bridge City made the second team of the All-District 22-4A list, it was released Monday.

Silsbee, which reached the championship round of the 4A Region III tournament, won three superlative honors. Jordyn Adams was crowned most valuable player, Devon McCain was named defensive player of the year and Joe Sigler shared coach of the year honors with Josh Mitchell of Lumberton.

Adams and McCain have signed with Austin Peay, an Ohio Valley Conference university in Tennessee.

Braden Bridges of Little Cypress-Mauriceville was named offensive MVP, and Brock McClure of Lumberton was tabbed newcomer of the year.

First-team members: Terron Brown and B’Jan Arvie, West Orange-Stark; Braelon Bush and Landyn Tyler, Silsbee; Jason Persohn, Bruce Green and Demetrius Johnson, Hardin-Jefferson;

Second-team members: Darius Johnson, Hardin-Jefferson; Jadon Wahl, Lumberton; Jesse Doucette, LCM, Chris Martin, Silsbee; Nakai Arnold, WOS; and Weeks.
