PREP ROUNDUP: Nederland girls shut out Dayton 11-0

Talk about a perfect balance of offense and defense.

Three Nederland players scored multiple goals, and the host Bulldogs blanked Dayton 11-0 Friday at Prather Field.

Meg Sheppard notched a second straight hat trick, and Phoebe Short and Skylar Thomassie each netted two goals. Jenna Brekel, Brynn Landry, Jordan Minaldi and Haley Plumley also scored.

Karrie Faith Anders, Sheppard and Brekel each had an assist.

Nederland (14-1-2, 6-0 in 21-5A) will host Memorial next Friday.

 

PNG 6, Barbers Hill 0

In Port Neches, Ariel Muller dominated.

Muller kicked in five goals, and the Indians (11-4-4, 4-1) routed the Eagles on Friday. Halley Smith had the other goal.

PNG hosted Vidor on Tuesday.

In Mont Belvieu, Jonathan Alvarenga and Jadon Lovejoy connected on goals in leading the Indians (12-6-1, 4-1) past the Eagles.
